Today is the big day for meeting up to chat for the Mixed3d Seamless3d exhibition.
All are invited.

One tip I have learnt recently is don't resize the 3d window once you are logged in or seamless will crash ! So resize the 3d window before joining a chat session if your window is too small to see the chat window.

This world was made by Ep using Seamless3d back in 2002.
It is one of the first worlds made using a GUI for Seamless3d and it's still one of my favourite worlds

Nice work.
I'm enterested only for what can work on my computer .
I canot use Your app.

And for visiting, I have a lotof addresses with realy enteresting things about VR technology.
Your site, Fabricator's site and ather sites and forums are realy good for visiting.
I don't spend my time with informations and places by second hand ...

Hi, When is the meeting??? I am in United States and we use Pacific Standard time in this state.
The truespace SDK file is available for download in the forum under sdk topic. I am hoping you can make a file converter from truespace to seamless 3d. That would give you a much larger amount of persons to recruit from, if a file converter program was made. Maybe add Blender files to seamless conversion also, but do not know if blender has a free sdk available.

I am a little lost. I opened the program, but am not sure what URL to paste in

Well I know Thyme is speedy, but even I do not believe he is THAT SPEEDY, lol.

When I go to the worlds open link, I can see 3 worlds open, and it says whos world, but there is no url displayed.
When I left click on the link, I get an ip address of 144.139.29.200 but no url
When I click on the picture, I get the option to download the zipped world file.

I use the Yahoo browser, and it does not seem to work with the worlds available link you have thyme, and I think that ip address is probably yours because the same ip comes up with each world.
Is there anyone that is connecting with the yahoo browser and getting things to appear as they should?
I need help. Or what browser do you use that works?

Thyme, what schedule are you going to run the server? Is anyone else running a server or can the server be downloaded so others can run a copy?

I tried to make. Thyme's server worked well but I have some firewall problems at work. Hope it was a great event.

It was a thrill to meet so many friends inside Seamless

While working on making the Seamless3d chat links (before the party began) I was pleasantly surprised by Alain's visit on Ep's farm

Then later Isa came and met Ep

I left the chat to cook my mushrooms and soup (in the real world) and before going to sleep I sent out the mass email to everyone.

Then I awoke and met fabricator in the early hours of the morning on Ep's farm and was soon joined by peugeotfast and Isa

fab pointed out that the ' character (the apostrophe) used for the title in Ep's Farm was not working as intended for Firefox so I changed the title to Eps Farm.

I will make it later so that an apostrophe is converted to a %27 as fab suggested and make the Seamless3d server be able to convert %27 back to '

Because peugeotfast made 2 instances of him self we had 5 people in the world and we chatted for some time without a single crash

While I slept (I think I slept) the party continued on Ep's farm with Isa, Peter_Pig, notejam, and Alain:



I woke again and joined Isa (what a party girl), vnomad, Alain, Peter_Pig & notejam at Fersen's Mixed3d world.

notejam pointed out that when you join another world an instance of your avatar remains in the world you left.

I found this to be true, I guess this spaceship was only designed for a one way ticket to mars

It's not a problem if you close Seamless down before joining a new world but I will make fixing this a priority for the next version.

Sadly I found this time I exited automatically a few times in seamless (for the first time for the event) and then we all had an automatic mass exodus! This was likely caused by an avatar being added to the scene that could not be interpreted. (could be caused by an unsuccessful download or a url that is incorrect)

We also experienced some messages stating unknown Seamless3d protocol being sent to and from the sever. (aliens at work no doubt )

Considering that parts of the spaceship are only held together with sticky tape I am surprised we got as far as we got before things started coming undone.

We could see Omind had logged into a world but he was by himself.

This would have been because of a url or title mix up.

Isa and I tried to catch him but he was gone before we got to him but it was great to see he logged into the server, this is still the most important thing

I went to sleep and when I awoke Ep told me the seamless3d server had crashed! This is something it has not done for months but considering how little it has been tested by traffic it is really to be expected.

After resetting the server I was joined by Meribastet:



which was a nice ending for the event

Sorry that X and Fersen were unable to log in, not sure yet why (but we know there is an issue that I want to resolve) but thanks for trying

Sorry about the arms being out like an aeroplane with this av, she needs some gestures.
Actually if you say the word "pose" she will pose.
I will be uploading an update of her soon, I have made her legs join on more realistically.
Since you are the only one Alain daring enough to wear this bikini I will be relying on you to demonstrate it in the fashion parade
