Thyme, what schedule are you going to run the server? Is anyone else running a server or can the server be downloaded so others can run a copy?

For the duration of the Mixed3d Seamless3d chat exhibition I leave the server run each day from about 12:00 AM GMT to about 10:00 PM GMT (the begin and end hours vary a bit)

Sure anyone is welcome to download the server and play with it

Sounds good, I guess just about any world could be used but how do we charge them to do a "Save As" ?

Yesterday I was speaking to AnjaM in msn and we both logged into Ep's farm but we did not see each other.
I could see 2 worlds of the farm were open in the server with her in one and me in the other
So it seems the problem Omind and others had logging into a parallel world was not just because of a url mixup, it seems the server has a bug that can create parallel universes

btw I could always write epfarm.wrl or epfarm.html

instead of Eps%Farm.wrl etc

because I dont want to be bored by web LOL

dont know if it is the prob ,
but I do know that my pupils always save their ( seamless ) worlds as a sentence

i.e "andrée machin.wrl"

and after that they had to complain that blaxxun doesnt open it !!

I kick them LOL and make them re write as "andreemachin.wrl"

and it works !

I agree Alain, I always avoid using spaces for web file names (but I use spaces for titles).

It's easy to replace a space with an under bar "_" or a minus character "-" or just delete the spaces.

I use to practice joining words by making each new word begin with an upper case character, for example:

epsFarm

This style of joining words may be fine for C++/JavaScript/SeamlessScript etc. variables but after experiencing problems with files getting lost because of them having the same name when saved to a folder offline (because windows file names are not case sensitive but online file names are), I no longer use upper case characters for web file names.

I am now suspecting a space or a new-line character at the end of the title could be what causes parallel worlds to open.
This could happen if the user copies the text by highlighting the url (instead of right clicking and selecting copy short cut)
I could solve this problem (if it's the problem) by making seamless filter out white space at the end of a title.
