Hi Lilly and Alain
sorry about the trouble with the cache files Alain, I have now sent all of the cache files for the new demo to you.
This creature you have made Alain LOL what is it? it looks like it wants to sit down? or is it a creature designed to have it's bottom kicked? LOL
The seamless animation is good though
thanks for sharing it with us
Its great to see you managed to figure out the start stop animation too without the demo but I guess the photo in the tutorial explains all you need to know what to do?
How do you find the way you can write interactive scripts without using ROUTEs? I feel beginners should not have to learn ROUTEs and then learn how to add a script node to do something just slightly more complex when scripts can be just as clean as ROUTEs the way seamless has it's scripts designed.
Your Lucrece looks very elegant Lilly I am sure she will sell like hot cakes especially now that she has start stop animation added
It makes me very happy to see you had so little trouble to understanding how to utilise the TouchSensor and seamless's script interface
I will make the scripts more forgiving and friendlier with popup menus like many programs have today such as VRML pad but I am content to leave this like this for a while so that I can move onto some other priorities I have in my list.
I am sure you can join vertices together Lilly if you try to do no more than joining 2 vertices together to begin with. The parts must be converted to blue parts first but after see the heading:
Joining a Vertex to another Vertex (J)
from Immediate Commands
Better still see Matthieu's translation:
http://perso.orange.fr/Matthieu/Seamles ... s_fran.htm
Look for the heading: Joindre un sommet à un autre sommet (J)
This section is only 2 sentences so there is not much to understand
Joining vertices is easy already but I will make it even easier to do some time in the future and I will also soon show other ways you can make smooth joins. I have been thinking my duck would make a nice short demo for showing how to use BranchJoine nodes and edit vertices togther at the flat stage but first I want to add visual aids for the BranchJoin node to make them easier to understand.
I think though Lilly you should be content with the amount of progress you have made in the last few weeks, it is amazing to see all what you have done!!! your animated mouse looks great and now it is interactive
O yes and Matthieu has just translated the new switch tutorials:
Animation : marche / arrêt en 3D
Animation : marche X fois
so many thanks to Matthieu
