Open Source Seamless3d 2.122 is available for download at:
http://www.seamless3d.com/download
This version of Seamless completes my third priority for the year by adding functionality to the TouchSensor node. It is now possible to click an object in Seamless's 3d window to make it animate or stop.
This adds a lot of interactive capabilities for Seamless
To see how the Anim node can be controlled using a TouchSensor and a single line of script, see the new tutorial:
Switching Animation On & Off in 3D
This is perhaps the first practical tutorial aimed at the novice to show off Seamless's script friendly design.
I also have 2 short follow up tutorials that show how an "if" statement can be used with ease:
Play for a Specified Number of Times
Stopping the Anim Node After the Specified Time
Although no ROUTEs are used in these tutorials, the examples when exported will contain the necessary ROUTEs for VRML/X3D and have been tested to work for Bit-Management Contact.
2.122 has a number of bug fixes including fixes for the built in script compiler but remember the script compiler is at a very early stage in development so please treat it with kid gloves and don't expect anything that is not tested to work
To avoid deep frustration only attempt to write scripts that contain no more than 2 lines (or maybe even 3 lines but that will be pushing things)
Best of luck in writing seamless interactive scripts
