Dear Friends of SrrTrains
Well, I am interested in your feed back.
OK, it's too early for a "big" survey (the project is in pre-alpha status and the alpha release will happen earliest in autumn 2011, still being experimental), but if you have left some 5 or 10 minutes to send me your feed back, please do it, this could be helpful.
Imagine, if it was autumn and the alpha-release would have already happened, what should we do afterwards? Please distribute the points to the topics.
The result will be published in an anonymous way.
If you don't know an answer, you can leave whole sections empty.
I would like to contribute by (30 points)
O testing
O programming
O maintaining an SrrTrains homepage
O modeling (vehicles, houses, tracks, ......)
O modeling (complete modules: landscape)
O gaming/simulating of railway operation (single-user-mode)
O gaming/simulating of railway operation (multi-user-mode)
I would like to use following operating system (10 points)
O Windows
O Linux
O Other (...)
I would like to use following MU (multiuser) system (10 points)
O BS Contact/BS Collaborate test version is sufficient
O MU System open source/free
O MU System commercial/professional
Static performance I would like to enjoy (10 points)
O small layouts sufficient (2 to 3 modules)
O big layouts
Dynamic performance I would like to enjoy (10 points)
O small number of users (max. 5 users in a session)
O big number of users in a session
SRR should now focus on (30 points)
O Railway features
O Better authoring support (easy-to-use editors)
O Easy installation
O Support more Web3D Browsers/MU systems
O Performance (big layouts, many users)
O Compatibility with other VR worlds (avatars, ...)
Please don't forget, currently the main focus is having a creative - and cheap - hobby, where a few people can collaborate who are interested in a) 3D graphics b) railways.
Thanks for your help
