Seamless3d Settings

To open the Settings control panel open the F10 menu and select settings

The Settings control panel contains fields that have global affect over Seamless3d.

These values are automatically saved to the file:

My Documents\Seamless3d\Application Data For Seamless3d\seamless3dSetup.wrl

when a smls file is saved and when Seamless3d is closed.

Field Description

saveGZipped checked makes smls files zipped when saved.

backgroundColor SFColor value defines the color of the background in the 3d window.

scene3dFontColor SFColor value defines the color of the font in the top left of the 3d window.

showToolBar un-checked hides the tool bar.

backFaceIgnore checked makes triangles invisible that do not face us. This field does not take affect unless seamless is closed and reopened. This field has no effect over what is output.

perspective checked shows the geometry in the 3d window with perspective and none if unchecked (orthogonal view)

incDecRes defines the resolution or how much a number will change for most up down buttons (does not include SFRotations) this field also affects keyboard vertex tugging keys.

backupDelay defines how much delay (in seconds) seamless3d takes to back up files to the undoCache folder. A backup is trigured by a user command when ever the command results in modifying the open smls file. If a command is issued before the delay time has expired the backup is skipped.

record checked causes Seamless3d to be in record mode. This mode makes seamless generate the appropriate nodes in the scene tree for commands such as join coord/color/texCoord, delete triangle and generate triangle. Using record mode is simular to recording events for a marco.

shiftDragTranslate checked enables translating a part by dragging the mouse with the shift key down.

tugSlope only applies to when tugRadius is set to a value greater than 0. slope defines how sharp the tugs are. 1 gives smooth sine like tugs where as .5 gives sharp pointy tugs.

tugRadius defines the range non selected vertices will be affected in relation to the selected vertex when tugged manually. Non selected vertices that are within range are tugged in accordance to the range set and how close they are to the selected vertex.

multiPartTug if checked all nodes can be affected when tugging vertices if the tugRadius field equals a value greater than zero. If unchecked only the selected field can be influenced that are within range of the tugRadius field

roundCoordsSave This field defines how many digits a number is rounded down to the right side of the decimal point for numbers that belong to coord, texCoord and normal field when saved.
