bxx av-stdio. import crashes seamless?

Hi thyme, I tried yesterday seamless again, to view some old bxx-studio avs. Sadly it crashes seamless.

Any idea?

I also would be happy, if it would be possible to export seamless-avs in blender, or jmonkeyengine .j3o with animation, arnament, weights, etc. possible?

Hi hermie, with the original well loved avatars you made, why do you want to import blaxxun avatar studio avatars?
I just tried importing a blaxxun avatar studio avatar with Seamless3d III by simply clicking on the file menu and selecting “import->bxx studio” and then selecting the bxx studio wrl file and then clicking open and it imported with no problems.
I also just tried exporting the avatar as a x3d xml hanim avatar with gzip off (blender does not seem to be able to deal with gzip) and with scriptAsRoutes ticked (so that no script is exported for the animation, only routes) and then I tried importing the x3d file exported from seamless with Blender.
I don't know much about using Blender so I do not know if it has imported any of the rigging, where does blender show its bone nodes? My guess is it has only imported the mesh as I never found another program other than than seamless that could import hanim which leaves me with the feeling I wasted way too much time on that standard.
Someday I may make seamless export COLLADA but I do not know if that would be a solution as I do not know if Blender can import rigging from COLLADA but I would guess there is more of a chance as COLLADA seems more popular than X3D.
My main focus at the moment is to get seamless to be able to do NURBS animation which it has been able to do now for a number of years but there are still a number of loose ends to deal with.
Great to hear from you, I have been wanting to send you an email for some time to ask you for some tips on how to improve my German accent for my upcoming movie Happy
